Questions parents ask

Who can swim at the Eastern Zone Sectionals – South?
Swimmers registered with a club in Allegheny Mountain, Middle Atlantic, Maryland, Potomac Valley and Virginia (the Region II of the Eastern Zone) who have a qualifying time in the event. The same cuts apply at the zone-wide long course Sectional in Buffalo that weekend; a swimmer picks one. Times count from June 1, 2025.
When and where are the Eastern Zone Sectionals – South in 2027?
Short course: March 18–21, 2027, Christiansburg, Virginia. Long course (zone-wide): March 2027, Buffalo, New York.
Are these the 2027 Eastern Zone Sectionals – South cuts?
Yes. They are from the section's 2026-27 sheet, linked at the bottom of this page.
Are Sectionals cuts the same everywhere?
No. There is no national Sectionals cut. Each zone splits its LSCs into sections, and each section publishes its own times, so a Christiansburg cut only counts for the Eastern Zone Sectionals – South.
