Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 14, 2026

MySwimApp is operated by Foxtide LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”). This policy describes how we collect, use, and protect information when you use the MySwimApp website (myswimapp.com) and the MySwimApp iOS app (together, “MySwimApp”).

Key points

  • Swim data comes from publicly posted meet result files — not collected from you or your child.
  • The app offers an optional account (Sign in with Apple) so you can follow swimmers and sync your preferences. We store only what those features need.
  • We do not sell your personal information and do not use it to track you across other apps or websites.
  • You can delete your account and its data at any time — in the app or by email.

This summary is for convenience only. The full policy below governs.

Information We Collect

Swimming Data

MySwimApp aggregates publicly available competitive swimming results from meet result files published by Local Swimming Committees (LSCs) and meet hosts. This data includes swimmer names, team affiliations, meet results, and swim times. This information is already publicly available through individual LSC websites and meet host platforms.

Account Information (app)

When you create an account using Sign in with Apple, we receive your name and the email address you choose to share (which may be Apple's private relay address), plus a unique account identifier. We use this only to create and secure your account.

Content You Create (app)

The swimmers you follow, the goal times you set, and your notification preferences are stored on our servers so they stay in sync with your account across devices.

Subscriptions

If you purchase MySwimApp Plus, your purchase is processed by Apple. We receive your subscription status (for example, active, in trial, or expired) through our subscription provider so we can unlock Plus features. We never receive your full payment card details.

Push Notifications (app)

If you turn on race-day alerts, we store a device push token so we can deliver notifications through the Apple Push Notification service. You can turn notifications off at any time in iOS Settings.

Stickers & GIFs (app)

When you search for a sticker to add to a celebration card, your search term is sent to Giphy to return matching results. That search is handled under Giphy's own privacy policy.

Usage & Diagnostics

We use analytics and crash-reporting tools to understand how MySwimApp is used and to fix problems. This information is used in aggregate for app functionality. We do not use it to track you across other apps or websites.

Local Storage (web)

On the website, MySwimApp stores your preferences (favorite swimmers, goal times, and theme settings) in your browser's local storage. That data stays on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.

How We Use Information

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for cross-app or cross-site tracking.

Service Providers

We share limited information with providers who help us operate MySwimApp, only as needed to deliver the service:

These providers are permitted to use the information only to provide their services to us.

Advertising

The MySwimApp iOS app does not show ads. On the website, we may display advertisements through third-party ad networks such as Google AdSense. These services may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.

Cookies

The MySwimApp app does not use advertising cookies. On the website, third-party services (analytics, advertising) may set cookies in accordance with their own privacy policies.

Data Retention

Swimming result data is retained indefinitely as it represents historical competitive records. Account data (your follows, goals, and preferences) is kept while your account is active and deleted within 30 days of an account-deletion request. Usage analytics data is retained for up to 26 months.

Account Deletion

You can delete your MySwimApp account at any time from within the app (Settings → Delete account), or by emailing us at support@myswimapp.com. Deleting your account removes your follows, goals, and preferences from our servers within 30 days. This does not remove public meet-result data, which originates from LSC and meet-host sources.

Children's Privacy

MySwimApp displays publicly available competitive swimming results, which may include results for athletes under 16. This data is sourced from publicly posted meet result files — we do not collect personal information directly from children. Accounts are intended for parents, coaches, and adult swimmers.

We do not knowingly allow anyone under 16 to create an account or submit personal information to us. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child's data should be removed from MySwimApp, please contact us at support@myswimapp.com. We will process removal requests within 30 days.

Your Rights

If you are a swimmer or parent and would like to request access to, correction of, or removal of your data from MySwimApp, please contact us at support@myswimapp.com. We will respond to requests within 30 days. Removal means your information will no longer appear on MySwimApp — it does not affect data held by other sources such as LSC websites or meet hosts.

California Residents

If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to request deletion, and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell your personal information. To exercise your rights, contact us at support@myswimapp.com.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
